Distinguished for his three decades of professional experience, Dr. Buthiau has been recognized as one of France’s top clinicians and medical expert consultants. Upon obtaining a Doctor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine in Paris, France in 1979, Dr. Buthiau served as an intern at the Hospital of Paris from 1980 to 1984, going on to teach as an associate professor at his alma mater. From 1984 to 1988, he served as the clinical chief at the Hospital of Paris.

Today, Dr. Buthiau utilizes his skills and experience as a consultant for hospitals and clinics throughout Paris, which he began in 1988. Likewise, he began working as a teaching director for the Education Offices in Paris 1992. Notably, Dr. Buthiau was the recipient of the 1994 National Academy of Medicine Prize and is also known for his services as a physician and associate member with the American Hospital of Paris. He presently maintains affiliation with the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the New York Academy of Sciences.

Alongside his primary positions in the medical field, Dr. Buthiau has provided insight into a variety of health topics through writing. With this sentiment, he is the author of, “Meet the Professor” in the American Society of Clinical Oncology from 2005 and 2008, “Virtual Endoscopy” from 2002, “CT and MRI in Oncology” from 1995 and “Clinical CT and MRI” from 1991. In addition, Dr. Buthiau has also left a mark in the field of medicine as an inventor. In his spare time, he enjoys music, diving and painting.

In recognition of his work, Dr. Buthiau received the National Academy of Medicine Prize in Paris, France in 1994. He has also received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and was ranked among Marquis Who’s Who Top Professional Doctors.
